Easter Is Around The Corner – Make A Sock Easter Bunny
Easter is around the corner – Make a sock Easter bunny
Yes, Easter is around the corner. And I think we should still celebrate it and make things. So let’s make a sock Easter bunny. You might remember my sock snowmen from Christmas time. I used the same principle to make the Easter bunny. It is just a variation. Depending on availability you might want to switch the filling from rice to something else such as sand.
Here is the link to the sock snowman. You use the same materials as in the sock snowman.
Take the socks for the body and prepare them as for the sock snowman. Then fill the sock body with rice, sand or something similar and tie off the top. After that choose where you would like the “waist” and tie it off about half way. It should look something like this:
Now choose the cuddly socks you would like to use. My cuddly socks had white toes. Perfect for filling it with poly fiber. Tie it off and you have a wonderful pompom. In addition another pair of cuddly socks is used to make the ears. Cut the foot part off before the heel, push the ends together and stick them into the hat with a little glue. Then, instead of a scarf, make a bowtie. Don’t forget the eyes and to decorate with your favorite rhinestones.
For the arms and feet make egg shaped balls and glue them on. The nose was cut from felt material and glued on.
As a tail use a pompom or make a round ball from a cuddly sock. I used a ready-to-use pompom and hot-glued it on the back of the bunny.
Here you can see what the bunny tail looks like. Of course you can always make your own pompom and use that.
This is how to make a Sock Easter Bunny. As I mentioned before, that the sock bunny is only a variation on the sock snowman. If you need to look at the directions for the sock snowman again, here is the link: https://spoonsandscissors.com/making-christmas-decorations-sock-snowmen/
