Panini

Take as many rolls as you need or have left over and cut them in half, but leave the halves together. Now heat your oven to about 180°C and wrap the rolls in aluminum foil and put them in the oven right away while it is heating. Take them out when the oven is hot. This gives you nice, soft rolls. While the rolls are warming up, cut some red onions and fry them. Salt lightly at the end. Now it depends on how much time you have or for what you are in the mood. Sometimes I use pulled chicken or turkey and fry it up with some BBQ sauce (my husband’s recipe). But you can use normal cold cuts as well. Take the rolls apart and put a spread of your choice on both halfes. We like to use basilicum-pesto, a little mustard and maybe some garlic-mayo. Then add the chicken/turkey on the bottom half. Now add some onions and a slice of cheese (or the other way around, whichever you prefer). Now comes the salami and then put on the top half of the roll. These beauties get wrappedin aluminum foil again and put into the oven for 10min. That’s it. Add some salad to the plates and you have a great balanced meal. It is super yummy, too.
