Indian Lamb Goulash

Indian Lamb Goulash on a plate

This wonderful spicy lamb goulash is very much worth making it. And you don’t even have to make the spice mix yourself, but you can, if you would like. I use a spice paste for Indian Tikka Masala and add a bit of red curry paste. That makes this meal really easy to make. Just give it a try.

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 – 2 pound lamb steak, medallions or lamb goulash any type works with the pressure cooker, I buy it frozen
  • 1 big onion
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp red curry paste you can use more or less depending on how spicy you like it
  • 1 can tomatoes 14 ounces
  • 4 big carrots cut into chunks
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes optional
  • salt according to taste
  • 1 pck Tikka Masala paste about 3 tbsp
  • coconut oil
  • 1 1/2 cups rice or bulgur pasta works as well

Instructions

  • Mince the onion and garlic and brown them in some coconut oil. Add red curry and Tikka Masala paste and and stir well. Add lamb, carrots and tomatoes (can + fresh) and maybe a little water. Cook in pressure cooker for 20min.
  • While the goulash is cooking make the rice or nudels and keep warm. Once the cooking time is done and you have opened the pressure cooker, check if you need more liquid (= sauce) and add water. If you like the sauce a little thicker add a little cornflour. Enjoy!
