Fall Decoration Ideas
Well, it is fall. Really fall, OMG. If you live more in the north as we do, it is so very noticable, especially with the temperature. Brrr. We enjoy the colors of the trees, but the cold rain is … not so nice. However that makes it the perfect time to decorate your home and make it cozy. So here are my fall decoration ideas.
Over the years I have collected a few ceramic pumkins and gourds. I do enjoy the real thing, too, but usually they don’t last that long indoors. Also because we love to eat pumkin in all forms (except pickled). 🙂 But for a little while it really looks fantastic.
This is a simple but great way to decorate your table. You start with a big plate. I like to use a glass one, but anything that looks nice will work. Then add a plant, a candle, your pumpkin and some chestnuts. I collected a bunch of them on a walk. You can add acorns, too. I only had a ceramic one. A little squirrel is also cute. Try out different ways to find what looks best on your table.
Another great way to decorate is to use glas or crystal bowls on a pedestal. We brought this one back from Florence, Italy. It is beautiful by itself, but it is also really wonderful to fill it with different decorations. Here I used lots of chestnuts and ceramic gourds and pumpkins.
Here is another ensemble of ceramic pumpkins. Another plus for ceramics is that they don’t leave marks versus fresh with its water content. And again you can add chestnuts and acorns.
I hope my Fall Decoration Ideas inspired you to decorate as well. And when Halloween comes around, just add a few toy spiders and you are set. And if you like amigurumis then defenitely look here, too.
