Almond Macaroons

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1+3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2+1/2 cup finely ground almonds
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla use the kind you like best e.g. vanilla sugar
  • 1-2 tsp cocoa powder for decoration
  • baking wafers

Instructions

  • Seperate the eggs and beat the egg whites very stiff. Slowly add powdered sugar and vanilla and keep blending. Add almonds and fold them in. While you do that, heat the oven to 300°F.
  • Prep baking tray with baking paper and set baking wafers on it. Put about a heaping teaspoon of dough on each wafer. It shouldn't cover the whole wafer, since it will spread out a little.
  • Bake for 15-17min on middle rack. Let them cool and decorate with cocoa powder.
