Panini al Forno

Italian Oven Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4-8 breakfast rolls amount depends on how many people you want to feed, I usually take 2 rolls per person
  • slices of different cold cut e.g. salami, chicken breast, ham etc
  • cheese any kind
  • pesto
  • mustard
  • garlic spread optional
  • 1-2 onions optional

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 350°F/175°C and prepare baking try with baking paper.
    If you like onions on your sandwiches, cut them into rings and caramelize them. It adds extra time, but it is totally worth it. Cut the breakfast rolls in half and set on prepped tray. Spread mustard and pesto (and whatever else you like) on all halfs.
  • Now put the cold cut on the halfs. Sometimes I fry up the cold cut first. Also very yummy. Top with your preferred cheeses and bake in oven for 20min.
